Once again, in order to protect himself from his brother’s aggression, Kethendar has retreated into enchanted sleep. Now the whole of the divine council races to restore him to good health.

There’s just one problem – Kethendar’s appetite for the mortal world has soured. He no longer wishes to live among his siblings.

With the lord of desire absent, his church descends into chaos. While Sidanon, Kethendar’s Invorash, and Eldantas, his high priest, vie for control over the faithful, it falls to Onyx, the Harbinger, to convince Kethendar to return.

Given the burdens heaped on Kethendar’s shoulders by his siblings, Onyx’s task will not be easy. All he knows for certain is that he has finally found the place where he belongs within the halls of Kethendar’s church.

He is not yet ready to abandon the pleasures he has discovered since joining Kethendar’s cult, and no price is too high to pay to get them back.
