Spells and Ink

Book 4 of Forgotten Pleasures

Kethendar was not the only god who survived the ancient war that collapsed their civilization. He hoped to avoid his siblings after his awakening, but Athkel’s actions have forced his hand.

Like so many other aspects of this strange new world, Kethendar’s siblings surprise him by embracing him instead of attacking him. But he senses an underlying motive to their interactions.

Like Athkel, they wish to use him.

Kethendar wants nothing more than to retreat into the eager arms of his followers – for in his absence, they have begun to stray. But he dares not let his guard down for even a moment.

Caught between the wrath of one god and the demands of the others, Kethendar must decide how he wants to resolve the situation. And while he struggles to come to terms with his new role as a divine mediator, his followers fight among themselves, competing for his limited attention.

But not everyone is willing to wait for his decision.
