Aleril's Folly

Book 2 of The Slave Makers Return

Nova thought he was ready to see the military side of Draeldin.
He was wrong.

It’s no surprise that Draeldin has safe houses where he and Nova can wait out the storm threatening to consume both Draeldin’s reputation and career. What Nova didn’t expect was for their relationship to carry on uninterrupted. The sheltered cabin in the woods presents the perfect opportunity for the two of them to experiment with things they could never try back in the city.

But Nova knows the most pressing matter is the mission to restore his master’s reputation. And now that he’s completed his military training, he’s keen to do his part. There’s just one problem: Draeldin isn’t the same as a military commander. Or maybe he isn’t different enough.

Watching his master act cold, brutal and callous shouldn’t make Nova question everything about their relationship. But the voice he hears during Draeldin’s interrogations is the same one he hears in the bedroom.

Is Draeldin really the man he thinks he is? Or has he been fooling himself all along?
